Study Permits for International Students in the Malaysia

• All international students, including Egyptians, require a valid Student Pass to study in Malaysia.


• The Student Pass is issued by the Malaysian Immigration Department upon approval of the student visa application.


• To apply for the Student Pass, students must first secure admission to a registered educational institution in Malaysia.


• The educational institution will assist the student in applying for the Student Pass after the student visa is approved.

Student Visa Application Process

• Get accepted into a registered Malaysian educational institution.
• 2. Collect the required documents such as:
• - Valid passport
• - Acceptance letter from the educational institution
• - Proof of financial capability to cover tuition and living expenses
• - Medical examination report
• - Application forms
• 3. Submit the student visa application through the educational institution.
• 4. Pay the applicable visa fees.
• 5. Attend an interview at the Malaysian embassy/consulate, if required.
• 6. Wait for visa processing and approval, which can take several weeks.
• 7. Upon arrival in Malaysia, report to the educational institution and Immigration Department to activate the Student Pass.
